ST Sharon Isbin Beethoven 7th

SHARON ISBIN & BEETHOVEN’S 7TH
Acclaimed for her extraordinary lyricism, technique and versatility, multiple Grammy winner Sharon Isbin has been called “the Monet of the classical guitar” (Atlanta Journal). Wagner dubbed Beethoven’s 7th Symphony “the apotheosis of the Dance… in its highest aspect,” and the self-deprecating Beethoven himself spoke of it as “one of the happiest products of my poor talents.”

SLAVIC FIRE
With her consistently striking and dynamic performances, Moscow-born pianist Natasha Paremski reveals astounding virtuosity and interpretive abilities. Her rendering of the ultra-Romantic Chopin concerto will take your breath away. Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony, written during the height of the artistic repression of Stalinist Russia, is a gripping work whose emotions span the gamut from sorrow to anger to triumph.
