Jonathan Moore is an active orchestral musician and teacher based out of Chicago. In addition to the West Michigan Symphony he is a member of the South Bend and Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestras, as well as a frequent guest musician with the orchestras in Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, and Johnson City (TN).
Jonathan received a BM and MM from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, graduating in 2017. While in Cincinnati his principal teachers were Dr. Catharine Lees and Masao Kawasaki, both of whom he also studied with at the Aspen Music Festival during the summers of 2012, 2014, and 2016. Prior teachers include Dr. Hsiaopei Lee at the University of Southern Mississippi and Dr. Scott Rawls at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Outside of music Jonathan’s interests include reading, cooking, and running along Lake Michigan (weather permitting).
