Yi-Pei Lin - Viola

Yi-Pei was born in Taiwan and began playing viola at the age of nine. She has completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Taipei National University of Arts, and her performance diploma at Michigan State University. During her studying time, she has gained a lot of experience in orchestra and chamber music performances.

Currently, she is studying for a Doctoral Musical of Arts degree in viola performance with Eric Nowlin at Michigan State University, as a graduate teaching assistant with a full scholarship. In addition to being a section viola member of the West Michigan Symphony orchestra, she is also the assistant principal viola at Battle Creek Symphony Orchestra, section viola at the Jackson Symphony Orchestra, substitute member of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, Taipei Symphony Orchestra, National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, and Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra.
