Rusty Musicians Performance Experience

Do you play an instrument? Or wish you still played?
Have you wondered what it would be like to perform on the Frauenthal stage with Scott Speck conducting?

We invite any adult who has a string, woodwind, brass instrument, or plays percussion, to join us for a day of rehearsing, learning, and performing under the direction of WMS Music Director Scott Speck.

How to Apply:

Concert Instrumentation and Open Positions

Musicians needed for:

Viola
Cello
Bass

Flute
Oboe
Clarinet
Bassoon

Horn
Trumpet
Trombone
Tuba

Harp
Percussion

  1. Review the concert repertoire
    (LINK COMING JANUARY 2025)
    Star Spangled Banner, Key, arr. Damrosch
    Carmen Suite 1: Aragonaise, Bizet
    Carmen Suite 1: Toreador Song, Bizet
    Peer Gynt Suite 1: “Morning Mood” and “In the Hall of the Mountain King”. Grieg
    Perpetuum Mobile, Op. 257, Strauss
    Swan Lake Suite: Mvt. 1 (“Scene”) Tchaikovsky
    Star Wars Suite: “Imperial March”, Williams
    “The Washington Post”, Sousa
    1812 Overture: Finale, Tchaikovsky
    Stars and Stripes Forever, Sousa
    and decide if you are able to play the music. If Yes? Then apply!

    After this step is complete, you will receive a confirmation email and your sheet music.

  3. Rehearse your part and prepare for July 12, 2025
    Day of schedule:
    Rehearsal 3:00-5:00pm
    Dinner Break 5:00-6:00pm
    Performance 6:00pm
