Third Coast Trombone Retreat Recitals @ The Block

Entering its 12th year, the Third Coast Trombone Retreat is a 7-day immersion for talented trombonists from around the world to the shores of Lake Michigan. For 2025, The Retreat has invited Guest Faculty members Megumi Kanda, Principal Trombonist of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, and Michigan State University Associate Professor of Trombone and Retired Detroit Symphony Principal Trombonist Kenneth Thompkins. They will be joined in instructing students by Retreat Co-Founders Nick Schwartz, Principal Bass Trombonist of the New York City Ballet, and Sebastian Vera, Principal Trombonist of the Pittsburgh Opera.
