Robert Johnson was appointed Section Bass in the Grand Rapids Symphony in 2022, and has also appeared with Dallas Winds, Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. He earned his DMA from Michigan State University in 2019 and is also a luthier at Grand Rapids Violins.
Letitia Jap is the Affiliate Faculty of Violin at Grand Valley State University. She received her Bachelor of Music at The University of Texas, Master of Music at New England Conservatory, and Doctor of Musical Arts at the Eastman School of Music. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, exploring cities, trying out different restaurants, and watching Shark Tank.
Soprano Jennie Judd Reyes is known for her vocal versatility and stage artistry, singing repertoire that spans from the Renaissance to the present. Recent performances include Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail and Mabel in Pirates of Penzance (both with Opera Grand Rapids), and soloist with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra, VoxGR, the Holland Bach Society, and Considering Matthew Shepard. In addition to performing, Judd teaches voice at Hope College and is the Operations Manager for the Holland Chorale.
Alexis VanZalen began her musical studies in her hometown of Holland, MI before studying organ performance at Lawrence University (Appleton, WI). She later earned an MM in Early Music and PhD in Musicology from the Eastman School of Music, where she specialized in French Baroque music. Alexis currently serves as the assistant organist at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Grand Rapids and as a program coordinator at the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship.
