Abigail Peel - Flute

Abigail Peel is a flutist based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Flute Performance at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of Amy Porter. She graduated from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music with a Bachelor’s Degree in Flute Performance under the tutelage of Jennifer Grim. She has previously studied with Catherine Gregory and Jane Bent and has played in masterclasses with Mark Sparks, Ransom Wilson, Nadine Asin, Nora Lee Garcia, and Nestor Torres. Abigail enjoys a wide variety of music ranging from Baroque to 21st Century, and aside from classical music enjoys exploring jazz and beatboxing techniques on the flute. She is currently a mentor for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra’s Civic Youth Ensemble program and flute instructor at Belleville High School.
