Isabella Butler - Percussion

Izzy Butler is a Chicago-based percussionist joining the West Michigan Symphony as Third Section Percussion in their 2025-2026 season. She received her Bachelor’s in Music from the New England Conservatory of Music under Daniel Bauch and Matthew McKay and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree at DePaul University under Cynthia Yeh. Izzy has performed with numerous orchestras including the American Symphony Orchestra, American Composers Orchestra, Boston Civic Symphony, and Longwood Symphony Orchestra. She attended the Aspen Music Festival and School in both 2023 and 2024 and was the recipient of the Charles Owen Memorial Fellowship in 2024. Izzy was also recognized as an Emerging Artist with the Network for Diversity in Concert Percussion for their 2022-2023 cohort. In addition to her performance career, Izzy is an avid educator and holds her own private studio.
